Richard Chang is the Managing Partner of iD TechVentures . Renamed from Acer VC, iDT VC is an active early stage tech venture investor in Greater China, managing total fund size of US$300M. iD TechVentures is committed to nourish future industry leaders in digital lifestyle value-added services and components. With more than 24 years experience in finance and operations management, Mr. Chang involves in investment strategy and direction, has recorded 10 successful IPO companies since 2000.

Prior to joining iDT VC, Mr. Chang has worked in Acer Group for 14 years. After two years in Corp. Auditing division since 1987, he served as AVP & Controller of International Sales Division since 1992. During this period he involved and experienced in global merging & acquisition project for the Acre Group. Afterward, Mr. Chang was promoted as CFO of Acer Computer International Ltd. (ACI) and GM of ACI, Taiwan since 1994, in charge of operations of regional supports in terms of product planning, service, assembly, logistics, HR and finance. He played a key role for ACI’s long term growth. ACI is a regional business unit of the Acer Group for Acer brand products distribution in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa the Middle East and CIS countries. ACI was listed in Singapore in 1995, achieved revenue S$1.35 billion in 1998.

Before joining Acer, Mr. Chang worked 10 years for Formosa Plastics Group, the largest business group in Taiwan. He accumulated management expertise in Corp. & overseas subsidiary establishment and local operation management.

Mr. Chang holds a bachelor degree from Soochow University in Taiwan with Economics major.
