Guangdong-based Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings (750.HK) reported full year 2008 earnings on Tuesday. Company revenue grew from RMB 604.7 million in 2007 to RMB 903.3 million in 2008, with revenue from its building integrated photovoltaic systems (BIPV) business accounting for RMB 127.2 million of the total, up from RMB 32.2 million in the year-ago period. Profit attributable to equity holders grew from RMB 70.3 million in 2007 to RMB 103.5 million in 2008.
Singyes focuses on the design, fabrication and installation of conventional curtain walls and thin-film building integrated photovoltaic systems. The Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development plan to accelerate the use of solar PV applications on buildings and announced subsidies on April of RMB 20/watt for construction material- and component-based BIPV projects and RMB 15/watt for rooftop- and wall-based projects. |
